Terms & Conditions
These Terms set the rules for using Play It Forward. They are written in plain English — not legalese — because we believe you deserve to understand what you're agreeing to.
1. About Play It Forward
Play It Forward (playitforward.fun) is a free-to-use browser-based gaming platform run from Canada. For every minute that you play, a portion of the advertising revenue your game earns is donated to the verified non-profits that you select. By using the site, you accept the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.
2. Who Can Use the Platform
You must be 13 or older to join Play It Forward. If you're a teen under 18, you're letting us know that your parent or guardian gave you permission to play. Basically, you just need the legal right to agree to these terms based on where you live. If we find out an account doesn't meet these guidelines, we'll have to close it.
3. Your Account
Some features — including saving your badges, achievements, and nonprofit preferences — require an account. By registering, you commit to supplying truthful and accurate information and keeping it up to date. You are responsible for your password and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, notify us immediately at info@playitforward.fun.
One account per individual only. Duplicate accounts to circumvent restrictions, or the use of multiple accounts to defraud charitable assets, may lead to a permanent ban.
4. What You Can and Cannot Do
You're welcome to:
- ✓Play free browser games for fun.
- ✓Support a verified nonprofit by playing.
- ✓Earn badges, hit milestones, and read the community blog.
You must not:
- ✕Use bots, scripts, or any other automated means to manipulate ad impressions or simulate fake gameplay.
- ✕Tamper with or attempt to manipulate the donation mechanism in any way.
- ✕Probe, attack, or disrupt our servers, infrastructure, or other users' experience.
- ✕Publish or distribute material that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
- ✕Impersonate another person, organization, or the Play It Forward team.
- ✕Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our platform's source code.
- ✕Use the platform commercially without our written consent.
5. Games, Advertising, & Charitable Giving
We host games from third-party publishers to make charitable gaming accessible to everyone, but we don't own or develop them. As a result, we aren't responsible for any bugs, technical errors, or the specific content within the games themselves. If something seems wrong, let us know at info@playitforward.fun.
Play It Forward is free because of advertising. Google AdSense and similar partners serve ads during your sessions — those ads generate the revenue we donate to nonprofits. By using the platform, you agree that ads will appear during gameplay. Ad revenue can vary with market conditions, so we cannot promise a fixed donation amount per session.
Donations are distributed from our ad revenue — not taken directly from your wallet — which means we cannot issue personal tax receipts. If a receipt matters to you, we encourage you to give directly to your chosen charity. All nonprofits on our platform are verified registered charities, and we reserve the right to update our partner list if a charity's status changes.
6. Intellectual Property
Everything we have created — our name, logo, site design, badge system, written content, and platform features — belongs to Play It Forward and is protected under intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute our original content without written permission. The games themselves remain the property of their respective developers.
If you share feedback or ideas with us, we can use that input to improve the platform. You keep ownership of what you shared — we just get a license to act on it.
7. Privacy
How we collect and handle your personal data is covered fully in our Privacy Policy (playitforward.fun/privacy-policy/) and Cookies Policy (playitforward.fun/cookies-policy/). Both are incorporated into these Terms. By using Play It Forward, you confirm you have read and understood them.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
Play It Forward is provided 'as is'. We work hard to keep everything running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of third-party content issues. We're not responsible for indirect liability, as far as the law allows, incidental, or consequential losses — including data loss or lost revenue — arising from your use of the platform.
You agree to hold Play It Forward harmless from any claims, costs, or damages that may arise because you violated these Terms or infringed a third party's rights.
9. Account Termination
We may suspend or close your account — without prior notice in serious cases — if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or act in a way that harms other users or our charity partners. You can close your account yourself at any time by emailing info@playitforward.fun. When an account is closed, your right to access the platform ends immediately.
10. Changes, Governing Law, and Contact
We may periodically update these Terms and Conditions as circumstances change. We’ll always update the date at the top to reflect the changes, and we will email registered users if any big updates are made. You agree to the updated terms by continuing to use the site and keeping your account active.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario. Any dispute that can't be resolved directly falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ontario.
